Tasks

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage the restaurant team, overseeing day-to-day operations, providing support, training, and participating in recruitment.
  • Organize, supervise, and participate in the service.
  • Accountable for maintaining, ordering, and controlling food stocks within budget.
  • Maintain contact with local suppliers.
  • Create and manage weekly team schedules.
  • Assist the General Manager in meeting sales targets, menu selection, and equipment purchases.
  • Collaborate with other outlet managers in the building.
  • Communicate with the kitchen team to ensure product quantity and quality.
  • Welcome and advise customers.
  • Generate weekly reports, conduct annual inventory, and manage cash deposits. Physical and Environmental Description for the Chef de Rang Position:
  • Work Position: The role primarily involves standing for extended periods.
  • Work Environment: The restaurant is a bustling setting with constant movement, requiring frequent interaction with both guests and staff.
  • Physical Activities:
    o Regular walking and moving between dining areas and the kitchen.
    o Carrying and lifting items such as trays, plates, and supplies, which can weigh up to 20 kg.
    o Bending, reaching, and occasionally climbing stairs.
    o Handling hot and cold food items and equipment.

Profile

Profile Sought:

  • Motivated, flexible, and open-minded.
  • Strong sense of solidarity and teamwork.
  • Experience in the restaurant industry is required.
  • Languages: French, Dutch, English.
  • A diploma is not always required.
