Intro

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and charismatic individual who will be making the customer experience one to remember. The on board hostesse/steward has a natural flair when it comes to Customer Service and should be able to take the right decision to please the customers based on their needs.
The hostess/ steward should have a great eye for details and should be able to prioritise the daily duty and the Customer Service according to the business need, keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do. The hostess/ steward is a talented guest focused individual who prides their person on delivering excellent levels of customer service to our business class customers, their main role being to ensure that the customer receives an unforgettable experience regardless of the circumstances.

Key area of responsibility

  • To carry out On Board service procedures as laid out in the On Board Service Procedures.
  • To adhere to all company policies ( e.g. Grooming, Drugs & Alcohol Policy )
  • To adhere to stock control procedures

Person specifications for the position

  • Experience within the Catering/Hospitality industry, both practical and theoretical knowledge
  • Ability to deal with different currencies and carry out simple calculations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Natural Customer Service skills
  • Knowledgeable with the concept of extra mile
  • Willing to work in a flexible roster
  • Ability to use initiatives
  • Conversational in English and French or Dutch is a minimum
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicates well with others to achieve a common goal
  • Certificat d’études secondaires supérieures/ diploma hoger secundair onderwijs

Work Schedule

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
  • Technology Skills: Proficient in using computer systems and software.
  • Employment Law Knowledge: Familiarity with employment laws and employee relations.
  • Management Experience: At least 3 years of experience managing a team of managers.
  • Service Culture Expertise: Proven experience embedding and driving a customer-focused service culture.
  • Industry Background: Experience in the catering, service, or travel industry.
  • Team Development: Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture talent within a team.
  • Communication Skills: Confident in engaging with all levels of the company structure.
  • Analytical Skills: Skilled in analysing data and creating impactful presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ownership & Accountability: Takes initiative, ownership, and responsibility for tasks and decisions.

Offer

  • Full-time, temporary contract of 3 months (extendable).
  • Salary: From €2,648.00 gross per month + Benefits: food allowance + health insurance
