We are a leading hospitality group in the heart of Ghent, managing iconic properties such as the Ghent Marriott, the Residence Inn by Marriott, the recently opened Holiday Inn Express & Suites, and the soon-to-open Courtyard Ghent & Event Center.

At the heart of our portfolio is the Ghent Marriott, an iconic hotel along the scenic Leie River, offering 150 luxury rooms, 9 versatile meeting spaces, and a renowned restaurant with a terrace overlooking the canal. Here you'll find Midtown Grill, Ghent’s premier steakhouse, known for its premium cuts and bold flavors.

We are currently seeking a passionate and dynamic Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee and elevate the guest experience across all our F&B outlets, including our restaurant, bar, in-room dining, and vibrant terrace.

Tasks

As Hotel Food and Beverage Supervisor you’ll be responsible for delivering when it comes to all things F&B, while supervising larget part of the hotels food and beverage operations. This includes partnering with the Food and Beverage Manager in recruiting and managing staff, ensuring high levels of customer service, developing menus, maintaining inventory and budgets, and enforcing health and safety regulations. You'll also also assist in monitoring industry trends, analysing sales and financial reports, and work with marketing and sales teams to promote the hotel's food and beverage offerings. The role requires exceptional communication, and organisational skills, as well as a strong knowledge of food and beverage standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and train the F&B team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations across all F&B outlets, including the terrace.
  • Drive revenue and optimize guest satisfaction through proactive service and upselling.
  • Maintain high-quality standards in food presentation, hygiene, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and management team to enhance menu offerings and promotions.
  • Handle guest feedback professionally, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
  • Develop creative ideas to improve the business.
  • Implement and drive upselling schemes to enhance profitability.
  • Monitor inventory, control costs, and manage supplier relationships.

Profile

Your profile:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a hands-on approach
  • Passion for hospitality and a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch and French are a plus)
