Bia Mara, an establishment located in Antwerp, is looking for a motivated and experienced Chef de Partie (m/f/x) for a part-time position (30 hours/week). The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of kitchen experience and be ready to take on responsibilities in coordinating kitchen activities.
Job Objective: Ensure the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes while organizing and coordinating the activities of kitchen staff. The Chef de Partie is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and quality in the kitchen.
Main Tasks:
Before Service:
- Start cooking, grilling, and frying equipment.
- Prepare and organize workstations.
- Plan and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff.
During Service: - Cook or grill poultry and fish according to orders.
- Prepare and finalize dishes as per customer orders.
- Check product quality and freshness.
- Ensure hygienic storage and preservation of food.
After Service: - Clean workstations and equipment.
- Monitor kitchen stock, withdrawals, usage, and losses.
- Place product orders.
- Maintain order, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen.
Additional Responsibilities: - Report faults and malfunctions.
- Participate in work consultations with colleagues and managers
Physical and Environmental Description of the Position: In performing their duties, the worker must implement a number of skills or activities required for the position of Chef de Partie at Bia Mara - Antwerp.

Profil
- 3 years of kitchen experience required.
- Motivated, flexible, and open-minded.
- Good team spirit and teamwork skills.
- Language: Proficiency in English required.
- A CESS (Certificate of Higher Secondary Education) diploma is not required.

- Part-time contract = 30 h/week .
- Variable working hours, double shifts from Monday to Friday, and continuous shifts during the weekend.
- Kitchen closes at 8:30 PM.
- Salary according to the Horeca scale.
- Working independently in the kitchen except on busy days.
